Mac + Manolos

Since I don't have a style post for the last two days, I thought I'd explain my blog header and background and why I think it embodies the spirit of this blog. I went to photography school at Brooks in Santa Barbara and I completely forget the assignment details, but it looks like some sort of advertisement class and this is what I shot. If I can remember correctly, I got an A :)... This is my friend Venessa. We got her make up done at Mac Makeup counter in the Nordstrom on State street and borrowed my aunt Mimi's Manolo heels! I posted my camera on a tripod and blasted the music! Then I digitally composed her in. This is the balcony of my apartment, those are my jeans shorts and yes we drank all of those bottles of champagne ourselves!

Big Truck Fall/Winter Campaign

 {Here are the photos from the Big Truck Headwear photo shoot we did today near the Gatekeeper's Museum near Tahoe City. Now that Big Truck International has silly names for every individual involved, and I am Official Photographer and Creative Director, the scarves were my idea. }

Feelin' Bad Looks Good

Today I swear I should have been on a reality show. First, I'm running late to pick up the clothes for my photoshoot only to sit and wait at Starbucks for 45 minutes for a model to no show on me. As I wait, I run into my friend Katie and ask if she has any good looking friends. She gives me Claire's cell number and lucky enough she can shoot today in Squaw Valley but only for an hour and a half when I have at least four hours worth of clothes to shoot. So, I brush my hair and drag my husband to the shoot, hand him the camera and model half the ensembles my-fucking-self. It actually turned out to be loads of fun and here is our first look where I said our inspiration was the Aerosmith video from the 90's with Liv Tyler and Alicia Silverstone where they are teenage runaways!

And might I say I think my 90's Liv Tyler is dead on balls accurate.
